Now my track “Emotional Dubstep” is on sale at AudioStock.
This is match for the product promotion or company video.
Right now, you can purchase on the AusioStock web site at 2160 JPY(≒ $20) for your various project.
For the video which don’t have voiceover, I add much loudness and information content.
Basic chord progression is C B7 G G/B. Yes it looks very Japan.
On This post, I focus on loudness of the track.
Especially this type of music is really on the war of the loudness. It was tough to make enough loudness to match with similar type track on AudioStock.
As the element of contribution to make loudness, I did strong ducking effect by KICKSTART. Although this track is not four in the floor, but I used it double like I wrote her before.
After mostly mixed, I increase loudness until the same point with reference track by the WAVES L3-LL simply. Of course balance would be broken. And I restart to take balance from here while the maximizer is working.
When you have to add much loudness in final, it cannot avoid to generate unpleasant saturation. So I always remake the balance after add loudness.
For the musician who do mix and mastering by themselves, possibility of this work procedure is advantage.
And plus, mostly I feel the less amount of high frequency after mix and compare with reference track. I use EQ before maximizer and add high freq directly.
I used to think that tweaking single track is better for the total sound quality. But only of high frequency, I feel use EQ for the master track is going more better, because adjusted phase won’t corrupt.
And then I strongly felt that I would lost my objectivity after I composed or mixed. For instance,, even I cannot notice the saturation which is happening sometime.
Yes, we should take a time to cool down my ear at least one day for one track. Or should be going on 2 tracks at the same time, for mastering one track after mixing of another track.
AudioStock is the Japanese service that offer you huge music and sound library for your media project.
