4 YouTubeCMs that are good at using BGM (April 2017)

投稿日:Sunday April 23rd, 2017 更新日:

I frequently watch the YouTubeCMs deliberately, because getting reference from my clients or my own research.
I pick up some videos that have good BGM using way and help our making videos as the reference.

Express Your life, your dress code.

Mostly BGM of YoutubeCMs will start sounds at a stretch. Then you can attract the attention by using less sounds on the beginning.

On this Video, it’s a cool point that the vocal won’t come until 45secounds in the only 1min length.

It is wonderful the way to match at the ending where the synths are coming abruptly on music and the doors are closed on video.
The song is The Rapture ”In the Grace of your love”

Google Chromecast: Watch Your Favorites, Bigger.

The song is an instrumental version of Fleur East “Sax”

Slow house rhythm and funky brass section.
Since this CM uses overlapping sounds and voices from cut- up scenes of the movies, too less amount of information as vocal off version is matching well.
If this was a song that was created for establish as an instrument song originally, the amount of information will be too much.

At 0:15, once stop the sound, then after start again from the point living up. This technique is popular now.

Mr. Clean | New Super Bowl Ad | Cleaner of Your Dreams

At 0:13, The scene that the typical EDM break down follows the motion of Mr.Clean’s cleaning is cool.

The long released hi-hat sounds are associated with the sound of the detergent spray.
That makes possible to prevent unnatural without environment recording or sound effect.

Keeping the Japanese Art of Candy Sculpting Alive

I watched this video on YouTubeCM frequently at the end of 2016 in Germany.
When this series starts, I couldn’t help but watch it all without skipping it.

Basically, it’s consisted of the spoken voices and BGM.
Normally in this type of video, when a speaker stop speaking, BGM will come out to avoid to make silence.
Oppositely, in here, BGM is always stopping with the words at the same time.
That make a tense atmosphere and good dynamics.

I thought I had more interesting video on this matter, but I could not find them because I didn’t bookmarked when I found them.
I’ll write again when I find them.

Conception from Chance Operation, “iTunes composition method”

Experimental music and ambient music people will know the chance operation. The iTunes composition method is developed (by me) as a way of making of ideas in normal composition. Sponsored Links First of all, about chance operation. Also known as, chance music or aleatoric music. This is the current of contemporary music developed by John Cage, is the thinking way that composition positively includes the elements which happen by chance. Of course, although I think I can write the long article about this, but today I want to write about the more general composition method which is oriented by chance …

The way to avoid your mix sounds muffled.

Like I wrote before, only in high frequency, simple EQ using for the master track works well. It’s often better than tweaking each single track. But in the middle and low, it’s totally different. Sponsored Links I wrote here about the things to do when you feel your mix muffled and muddy. In the process of adding tracks, sounds sometimes go indistinct . If the extreme words, it sounds like you are listening the sound in the water. In that case, the problem might be in the middle and low frequency range.
